Patti Murin, four-time Emmy winner Kim Zimmer and Clifton Hall will join the national tour of Wicked. Zimmer and Hall begin performances as Madame Morrible and Fiyero, respectively, on August 14 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Murin is set to join the tour as Glinda on August 21, also in Salt Lake City.
Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel of the same name, Wicked is the untold musical story of The Wizard of Oz’s witches before Dorothy dropped in. Murin, Zimmer and Hall join current cast members Nicole Parker as Elphaba, PJ Benjamin as the Wizard, Justin Brill as Boq, Clifton Davis as Dr. Dillamond and Demaree Hill as Nessarose.
Murin appeared on Broadway in Lysistrata Jones and Xanadu. Her film and TV credits include Royal Pains. Zimmer earned four Emmy Awards for Guiding Light. Her regional and off-Broadway credits include Four Dogs and a Bone, Love, Loss and What I Wore, Blood Brothers, Gypsy, Sunset Boulevard, Dirty Blonde and Curtains. Her additional film and TV credits include Seinfeld, Designing Women and MacGyver. Hall played Fiyero in the San Francisco production of Wicked. His Broadway credits include Miss Saigon and Les Miserables.
