'I like to turn on some music that will get me to let loose and sing along.'

As Fiyero, the object of Glinda and Elphaba’s affections on the national tour of Wicked, Cliffton Hall needs a calm place to escape when he is not on stage. The actor gave Broadway.com a peek at his dressing room to see what his must-haves are to keep “dancing through life.”

“Being away from my family is the hardest part of being on tour, so seeing their pictures in my dressing room puts a huge smile on my face. It always reminds me why I do what I love to do.”

“When I arrive at my dressing room, I like to turn on some music that will get me to let loose and sing along. Right now, it's Bruno Mars.”

“In order not to offend the two amazing actresses I share the stage with, I make sure I have fresh breath throughout the show. I like to soothe my throat with the number-one lozenge brand, Halls!”

“I have a 30-minute break before the second act begins. With that time, I like to get on my MacBook Pro and catch up on email, surf the web and say goodnight to my two 'darlingest' young boys through Skype or Facetime. Technology is truly astonishing!”

"The role of Fiyero is very athletic and requires me to dance, jump off statues, climb up cogs and swing from a rope. I need to keep fit and in shape. Since we are on tour, there is a limit to the fitness equipment I can pack. These resistance tubes really help.”

See Clifton Hall in Wicked at the Paramount Theatre from October 10 through November 17.
