About the Show
Straight off the road in Seattle, the North American touring company of War Horse stopped by New Day Northwest to share a behind-the-scenes look at the magical Tony-winning play. Leading lad Andrew Veenstra brought the life-sized Joey puppet to the morning show set, showing off some of the technical secrets that bring the breathtaking puppetry to life in the show (which won five Tony Awards in 2011). If you’re hoping to catch the play while it’s settled down in Seattle, you’d better hurry over to the Paramount Theatre before War Horse gallops away on February 24. Next stop? Portland!
