Seattle announces its 2013-2014 Broadway season!

The Australian outback, the yellow brick road and the streets of Dublin are coming to Seattle this season! The 2013-2014 season of KeyBank Broadway will feature the 2012 Tony winner for best musical Once, as well as Broadway favorites The Wizard of Oz, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Evita and Disney’s The Lion King. All productions will play the Paramount Theatre.

The Wizard of Oz, developed from the beloved MGM motion picture, tells the story of Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion and Toto as they venture through the land of Oz to meet the mighty and mysterious Wizard. With favorite songs from the movie as well as new tunes by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, The Wizard of Oz is a treat for the whole family. The journey begins on October 9 and runs through October 13.

Next up: Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the outrageously fun tale of three friends who set out on a road trip through the Australian outback and find more than they could have dreamed. The show features lavish Tony Award-winning costumes and a hit-parade score including “It’s Raining Men,” “Finally” and “I Will Survive.” The party begins November 12 and runs through November 17.

Just in time for New Year's, Evita tells the unforgettable and tragic true story of Eva Peron’s rise from the slums of Argentina to the presidential mansion as the adored First Lady. Featuring Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's showstopper “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” Evita opens on December 31 and runs through January 5, 2014.

Disney’s The Lion King is the Broadway phenomenon reimagined from the classic animated film by director Julie Taymor. Breathtaking visuals combine with the unforgettable score by Elton John and Tim Rice to create the theatrical experience of a lifetime. See the African Pridelands come to life beginning March 11, 2014 and running through April 6.

Closing out the KeyBank season is the winner of eight 2012 Tony Awards, including Best Musical: Once. A truly original experience, Once tells the story of a Dublin street musician, the young woman who takes an interest in his songs and the complex love story between them. Performed by an ensemble of actor-musicians, Once runs from May 27, 2014 through June 8, 2014.

HOLIDAY HOURS: The Subscriber Service Center will be closed Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th for the US Thanksgiving Holiday. We will re-open Monday, December 1st at 9am. HAPPY HOLIDAY!
