September 8th, 2013 | By Broadway.com Staff

Get ready to transport back to the golden age of 1950s TV, without the black and white. Tickets are now on sale for I Love Lucy Live On Stage in Boston. The new stage show, which recreates two classic episodes of I Love Lucy will play the Citi Emerson Colonial Theatre from December 3 through 22.

I Love Lucy Live On Stage takes audience members back to 1952 as members of the Desilu Playhouse studio audience where they await the filming of two hilarious I Love Lucy episodes, “The Benefit” and “Lucy Has Her Eyes Examined.” A charming host entertains and enlightens the crowd to the behind-the-scenes filming process of a brand new thing called “television,” the Crystaltone Singers perform advertising jingles in perfect 50s style harmony and the sidesplitting antics of America’s favorite foursome—Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel—are presented live on stage and in color for the very first time.

The show stars Sirena Irwin as Lucy, Bill Mendieta as Ricky, Kevin Remington as Fred and Joanna Daniels as Ethel. I Love Lucy Live On Stage is directed by Rick Sparks and is adapted for the stage with additional material by Kim Flagg and Sparks. The show features music direction by Wayne Moore, original music by Peitor Angell, scenic design by Aaron Henderson, costume design by Shon LeBlanc and lighting design by Chris Wojcieszyn.

Below, check out what the stars had to say about loving Lucy on opening night, then get your tickets to see the show live!
