Health & Safety

The health and safety of our subscribers, ticket holders, staff, artists and community are our top priorities.

We know many have questions about the upcoming season and what the experience of attending the theatre will be like. Please rest assured, all decisions regarding the necessary protocols and policies for the health and safety of our audiences will be guided by medical and public health advice and will comply with local government regulations. We will communicate details about health and safety protocols in the venue as we get closer to the first production of the 2021 season.

At this time, the Paramount Theatre is closed. We do not currently have a timeline for when it will reopen. Theaters were among the first to shut down – and we will be among the last to reopen given the nature of our business. Seattle Theatre Group continues to follow the guidance of local and state health officials and remains prepared to respond to evolving directives.

STG at Home: State of the Broadway Industry

Lauren Reid, Chief Operating Officer of the John Gore Organization (operators of Broadway Across America, Broadway.com, etc.), and STG’s Executive Director Josh LaBelle discussed the state of the Broadway industry, both in New York City and on the road, during this STG at Home session, recorded on September 23, 2020.

They cover the process around developing new Broadway shows, the logistics of sending touring companies across the country, and the impact of COVID-19 on the arts sector with a glimpse into how we might expect our theatre experience to change in the future.

The questions addressed during this discussion were submitted by the audience. For more information about STG, please visit us at https://www.stgpresents.org.
